John A. Sasso

He was born in Providence, RI, the son of the late John and Rose (Cimini) Sasso.

He began his career in Pawtucket, RI which spanned decades including 30 years as CEO of the National Community Development Association, which represented hundreds of cities across the United States. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, John was a great friend to many people, he was very involved with the communities in which he lived and will be missed by all.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his three children: John Sasso Jr., Carole Cantagallo and Julie Cardoso; a step-daughter Helima Croft; two step sons Nick Shapin and Cody Bledsoe; eleven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Sasso was also the brother of the late Joyce Geremia.

His visitation will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2016 from 2 to 4pm in the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Cherry Place 178 Winter St., Fall River.
