

Kathleen (Donlon) Driscoll, age 75, of Middletown, R.I., formerly of Westport and Fall River, Mass., passed away Thursday, May 7, 2026, in Newport Hospital. She was the beloved wife of attorney Wilfred C. Driscoll, Jr., to whom she had been married for 47 years.
Born in Hartford, Conn., the daughter of the late James and Ruth (Foley) Donlon, she graduated from the former George J. Penney High School in East Hartford, received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut and earned her master’s degree from American International College in Springfield.
Kathy found her life’s work in teaching, starting at the Freetown Lakeville school system before embarking on a long-term career in the Fall River Public School system. She taught for many years at Talbot and Morton middle schools before becoming the English curriculum director of Fall River Public Schools.
A member of the Fall River Junior League, Kathy enjoyed spending summer days at Bakers Beach. She loved reading and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Kathy is survived by three children, Wilfred C. Driscoll III and his wife Megan of Playa del Rey, California, Caitlin Driscoll Sullivan of Hingham, Mass., and Arthur “Chip” Driscoll, IV and his wife Christina of Winchester, Mass.; six grandchildren, Jack Driscoll, Jake and Keegan Sullivan, Patrick, Kelly and Matthew Driscoll; sisters Alice Ellovich (Jack),and Eileen Beaulieu (Michael); brothers James Donlon (Arland) and John Donlon (Linda); and many nieces and nephews.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 10 a.m. in Holy Name Church, 709 Hanover St., Fall River, followed by her burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Fall River. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St., Fall River.
