Lois E. Hartnett

Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late John Edward “Teddy” and Margaret (Hunt) Ibbotson, she lived in Tiverton most of her life and was a graduate of BMC Durfee High School, Class of 1948 and the University of RI, class of 1952 where she was crowned May Queen in her senior year and was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority.

A homemaker, she was the ‘glue’ that held her family together, as they were the most important part of her life.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother with seven children: William C. Hartnett and wife Toni of Newport, Robert T. Hartnett, John S. Hartnett and wife Cheryl, Susan Gustafson, Bethann Allcock and husband Dana, Margaret J. Boyd, all of Tiverton, and the late Alan E. Hartnett, eleven grandchildren: Elin, Emily, Erick, Alice, Alex, Miles, John, Mitchell, Lindsey, William and Ava, and her great granddaughter: Lois.

Her Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 10 AM in Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 1956 Main Road, Tiverton. Her family will greet friends in the Church from 9AM to 10 AM prior to her Service. Burial in Pocasset Hill Cemetery, Tiverton, RI.
