Madelyn A. Scott

Madelyn A. (Westgate) Scott, age 97 of Fall River, formerly of Berkley, passed away Monday, February 21, 2011 in the Southpointe Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in Fall River. She was the wife of the late Lynwood B. Scott. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Earnest L. and Hattie (Smith) Westgate.

Mrs. Scott was a member of the Myricks United Methodist Church in Berkley, one of the original members of the Berkley Council on Aging and a long time member of the Berkley Happy Hearts Senior Club.

She is survived by her son Richard L. Scott and his wife Jane, two granddaughters Debby Hoover and her husband Jack and Nancy Berube-Rousseau and her husband Paul; three great granddaughters Tonya Murray and her husband Russ, Kerri Carreiro and her husband Mike and Stacy Hoover and one great great grandson Jake Carreiro all of Tiverton and several nieces and nephews.

Her Service of Thanksgiving and Tribute will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 3pm in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT CHERRY PLACE 178 Winter St., Fall River. Visiting hours will be Saturday, from 1-3pm prior to her service. Burial will be private.
