Mae F. Hollis

Mae F. (Tatum) Hollis, age 63, of Fall River, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2020. She was the wife of the late Lamar Hollis.

Born in Seekonk, she was a daughter of the late Andrew D. Tatum and Mary C. (Laster) Tatum.

Mae worked as a Social Worker for 40 years and found it her calling in life to be able to help those in need. She enjoyed knitting, fishing, cooking, gardening and playing card games.

She is survived by her three sons; Corey and Zerek Hollis of Plains, GA and Justin Hollis of Fall River, siblings; Mary Edwards, Eddie Jo Tullis and Edward Tatum, two grandchildren; Rihanna Lebroux and Clarice Rose Hollis, niece; Nikkie Edwards and nephews; Taj Tatum and Brian, Eugene and Curtis Edwards and Joshua Hambleton and her great-nieces and nephews; Troy, Vangie and Keyantey Edwards, Shem Machado and Tajon Saxton.

Due to current restrictions on public gatherings, her funeral services will be private for the immediate family. Mae’s funeral arrangements are in the care of Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, Fall River.

I worked with Mae for almost seven years at CSS. I was deeply saddened to learn of her passing. We always had positive conversations when we interacted, and I’ll miss her voice and her laugh. My deepest condolences to the family and I wish the circumstances were different so as I could pay my respects in person.
