Margaret M. Blake, age 98, of Fall River, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2012 in the Hallmark Nursing Home. Born in Fall River a daughter of the late Jeremiah and Margaret (Kelly) Blake, she was a lifelong resident of the city.
A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, class of 1932, she worked in the office at the former Arkwright Mill, the former Truesdale Hospital and Charlton Memorial Hospital for over 30 years before her retirement.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late Gerald Blake, John Blake, William Blake, and Rita Mitchell who was the wife of the late Mayor Nicholas Mitchell.
Her Funeral will be held Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 9:00AM in Holy Name Church, 709 Hanover St., Fall River. Relatives and friends invited. Kindly omit flowers. Burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River. Arrangements are in the care of the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Cherry Place.
