

Marilyn F. (Little) Manchester, age 80, of Westport, passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at home unexpectedly after a long illness. She was the wife of George E. Manchester to whom she had been married for the past 62 years.
Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Martin and Edith (Bottoms) Little, she had been a resident of Fall River until moving to Westport 53 years ago.
She attended B.M.C. Durfee High School and worked as a home health aide. She enjoyed playing bingo and most of all loved to spend time with her family and friends.
Surviving in addition to her husband, two daughters Debra Manchester and her husband Paul Cabral, Linda Souza and her husband Joseph all of Westport, one son George W. Manchester and his wife Kathryn of Plymouth, four grandchildren Alexander and Victoria Manchester, Joseph and Jennifer Souza and several nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late Gladys Janelle, Eleanor Norman, Henry Little, and Beverly Snell.
Her Funeral will be held Monday, December 13, 2010 at 8:00AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at CHERRY PLACE, 178 Winter St., Fall River followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:30AM in St. George’s Church, 12 Highland Ave., Westport. Visiting hours Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00PM. Contributions in her honor may be made the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 or to Hospice Visiting Nurses Association, 502 Bedford St., Fall River, MA 02720. Burial in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
