Martha M. Abdallah

Martha M. (Galib) Abdallah, age 94, of Fall River, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 13, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Joseph K. Abdallah.

Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Assad and Haboba (Sahady) Galib, she had been a lifelong resident of the city. Mrs. Abdallah worked at the former Champion Paper Box Company in Fall River for many years before retiring in 1974. She was a member of St. Anthony of the Desert Church and their Holy Rosary Sodality, and the Lebanon American Society Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by three daughters; Veronica Abdallah and Patricia Abdallah both of Fall River and Charlene Wolstehholme and her husband James of Tiverton and Fall River, one sister; Madeline Joseph and her husband Tofe of Fall River, two brothers; Elias Galib of Fall River and Thomas Galib and his wife Rosalie of Somerset, two grandchildren James and Andrew Wolstenholme and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Marion Galib, Emile Galib and sister-in-law Elaine Galib.

Her Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 9:00AM in St. Anthony of the Desert Church, 300 North Eastern Ave., Fall River. Visiting hours Friday from 5:00 to 7:30PM in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at CHERRY PLACE 178 Winter Street, Fall River. Burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
