Martha Mello

She was born in Westport, the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Ratcliffe) Jackson and was a lifelong town resident. Mrs. Mello was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit in Fall River and enjoyed crocheting.

She is survived by her daughter Joyce Perry of Westport; three grandchildren Lori Wilson, Debra Mello and Wayne Mello; four great-grandchildren Michael, Patrick, Leslie and Joseph; a daughter in-law Jeanne Mello of Swansea; Henry C. Letendre of Fall River and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Mello was also the mother of the late John C. Mello Jr. and sister of the late Harold Jackson.

Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 11AM in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT CHERRY PLACE 178 Winter St., Fall River. Visiting hours will be from 9 to 11AM prior to her service. Memorial contributions in her honor may be made to the American Lung Association 460 Totten Pond Rd.
