Mary Ann Bednarcyk Murphy

Born in Simsbury, CT, the daughter of the late Frank and Eva (Janiec) Bednarcyk. She spent her youth in Connecticut, moving to Fall River after her marriage. She was employed at the ILGWU for 32 years prior to her retirement. Mary was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church; a member of the Sacred Heart Women’s Guild and a volunteer at the Sacred Heart Church soup kitchen. Mary loved to travel and her best trips were to Ireland, Hawaii, Russia, Iceland, and the Panama Canal.

She leaves one daughter, Barbara Talbot of Fall River, several nieces and nephews, three grandchildren and one great grandchild, Kelsi.

She was also the sister of the late Joseph, Julian, Stanley, Walter, Ben, and John Bednarcyk.

Her funeral will be held Monday, January 10, 2011 at 8:00 AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at CHERRY PLACE, 178 Winter St. Fall River followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, Linden Street, Fall River. Visiting hours Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00PM. In lieu of flowers, a donation is requested to the Sacred Heart Soup Kitchen,160 Seabury St., Fall River, MA 02720. Burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
