Mary Kerr Sullivan

Mary Kerr Sullivan, age 83, of Fall River, passed away Tuesday, August 02, 2016 in Charlton Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Daniel E. and Margaret (Kerr) Sullivan, she spent her youth in Fall River and lived in Long Beach, California before returning back to the area recently.

A graduate of Mount St. Mary’s Academy, she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Bridgewater State College. While living in Fall River, she worked for New England Telephone and Telegraph and while living in California she worked as the Director of Medical Records at St. Mary’s Hospital.

An avid reader, she enjoyed riding her bicycle, traveling around the world and knitting.

She is survived by one brother; David T. Sullivan of Boynton Beach, FL and Portsmouth, RI and several nieces and nephews including Mary Kerr Sullivan of Fall River with whom she shared a name and a very special bond. She also leaves many great-nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Atty. Daniel A. Sullivan, Kathryn Shea and Timothy R. Sullivan. She also was especially close with her sisters-in-law, the late Mary E. Sullivan and Chessie K. Sullivan.

Her Funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at 10:00AM in Holy Name Church, 709 Hanover St., Fall River. Relatives and friends invited. Contributions in her honor may be made to Darcy E.
