Born in Fall River, a son of the late Alton M. and Marion (Gill) Greene, he had been a lifelong resident of the city and a graduate of BMC Durfee High School.
Mr. Greene was a chemical operator for the former Astrazeneca in Dighton for 28 years, retiring in 1993. He was a model railroad enthusiast.
Surviving in addition to his wife: two sons; Michael R. Greene of Fall River and Stephen A. Greene and his wife Diane of Somerset, four grandchildren: Ryan C., Kyle D., Jason P. and Ashley S. Greene and several nieces and nephews. He was brother of the late Joan L. Cox.
His Funeral will be held Thursday, January 23, 2014 at 10 AM in Holy Name Church, 709 Hanover Street, Fall River. Burial private. Arrangements in the care of Waring- Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Cherry Place, Fall River.
