Michael Jay Dootson

He was born in Fall River the son of Kenneth H. Dootson Jr. and Doreen (Cummings) Moniz both of Fall River.

Michael was very involved in a Day Program with People Incorporated for many years and enjoyed beaches, pools, swimming, spending time with family and especially his best friends Ashton Arruda, Shelby Arruda, Kathy Peters, Chris Holland and Adam Silvia, arts & crafts, stuffed animals, going out to eat, long car rides and music.

Michael was a very special child full of life. A child who had Autism. He was a very loveable child with a sweet innocent to the world around him. His smile would light up your heart.

In addition to his mother and father he is survived by Caregiver and long time friend Marc Kryla: a brother Joseph M. Moniz III; a sister Doreen M Moniz; grandfathers Kenneth H. Dootson Sr and Robert S. Cummings; aunts Cheryl and Brenda Cummings; an uncle Keith Cummings and several cousins.

Michael was also the brother of the late Kenneth H. Dootson III grandson of the late Mary Dootson and Delores Cummings Campion and he was also the nephew to many other Aunts and Uncles who have passed away over the years.

His funeral mass will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at 9 AM in St. Bernadette’s Church 529 Eastern Avenue. Fall River, MA. All are invited to attend.
