Michael J. Doran

November 3, 1960January 4, 2013

Michael J. Doran, age 52 of Lincoln, RI, passed away unexpectedly on January 4, 2013. He is the beloved husband of Rebecca (Cullen) Doran.

Michael is the son of Lillian (Holland) Doran and the late Joseph F. Doran former Fall River City Clerk, and son in-law of John and Barbara Cullen.

In addition to his wife, mother and in-laws, he is survived by his two children Ryan P. Doran of Cumberland, RI and Courtney J. Doran and her husband Nick Birchall of Pawtucket, RI; a brother William K. Doran and his wife Maryann of Fishersville, VA and a sister Joan M. Malloy of Fall River, MA; two brother in-laws John Cullen and Christian Cullen; two grandchildren Jordan and Aubrey Birchall and many nieces, nephews, extended family and beloved friends.

Michael was a graduate of Bishop Connelly High School and attended St. Joseph’s College in Maine. He was employed at Verizon as a Lineman for 15 years.

Michael was a member of the Seven Sins Motorcycle Club. While everyone knows of his love to ride, most of all he cherished adventures with his wife, Rebecca, and dog, Casey. Michael absolutely loved life and had a passion for cooking, camping, beaching, golfing, hockey, and relaxing in his hot tub naked. He enjoyed time with his family, particularly his mother, children and grandchildren. He will be forever remembered for his quick wit, engaging personality, love of life and family, and his heartfelt ability to bring people together to help those in times of need. Michael was happiest when making others happy. He was the glue that kept us all together and the fuel that kept us on the go.

His funeral will be held on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 9am from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT CHERRY PLACE 178 Winter St., Fall River, followed by his funeral mass at 10am in Holy Name Church, 709 Hanover St., Fall River. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 4 to 8pm. Burial will be private.

Dad I miss you more than words could ever express. You had a way of making all the people around u smile. Your laugh was contagious! You taught me more in 24 years than anyone could teach in a life time. I was always a daddy's girl as a child and will always remain a daddy's girl :) u taught me how to walk talk play love and live. You were taken far too young from us and Jordan even asks when his papa is coming back from Heaven because he misses you so much but at least I have the comfort of knowing you are up above watching over us at all times. I'd give anything for one more hug, one more laugh, one more smile...but for now ill just hold on to all the memories that u gave to "your polywog". I miss you and love you daddy! May u rest in peace <3
