Born in Westport, a daughter of the late James and Mary (Davenport) Shoesmith, she had been a lifelong area resident.
In addition to being a homemaker, she was an avid reader and enjoyed doing arts and crafts.
She is survived by two daughters, June Starck and her husband William of Swansea, Margaret “Marge” Rodrigues and her husband Everette of Fall River, one son James Edward Connors and his spouse Erlie Chen of Fitz William, NH, two brothers James Shoesmith of Fall River smf Stephen Shoesmith of Westport, two sisters Hannah Craig of East Providence and Elsie Cochran of Dartmouth, eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was mother of the late Frank Connors and sister of the late George and Gordon Shoesmith, Ada Taggat and Grace Simmons.
Her Funeral will be held Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at 11:00AM in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at CHERRY PLACE, 178 Winter St., Fall River. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Monday from 4:00 to 7:00PM. Burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Fall River.
