Patricia L. "Trish" Isserlis

Patricia L. “Trish” (Leonard) Isserlis age 64 of Fall River passed away Thursday, February 2, 2012 at St. Anne’s Hospital in Fall River. She was the wife of Errol C. Isserlis to whom she had been married for 31 years.

A native of Newport, RI, she was a daughter of the late Arthur L. and Mary A (Curran) Leonard. She was a graduate of the former St. Catherine Academy in Newport, received her Bachelor and Masters Degrees from Salve Regina University and also received an associate’s degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson and Wales University. She was a communicant of Holy Name Church.

She was a nutritionist at Health First Center in Fall River retiring in 1998, and previously taught science in Fall River, Newport, Swansea and Westport. She was also a Public Health Nutritionist writer for the Somerset Spectator and the New York Times.

She was a post card collector, member of the Somerset Garden Club, Somerset Improvement Club, awarded Woman of the Year in 1999 by the Daughters of Isabella, St. Patrick Circle. She was a member of the Red Hatters, Women Chefs and Restaurateurs, awarded exceptional volunteer award from Salve Regina University in 1999, and was a member and past president of Cole’s River Investment Group. She was a member of Friends of Ballroom Dancing, traveled extensively, and was a member of the Daughter’s of Isabella Hyacinth Circle # 71. A cancer survivor, she was active in the Relay for Life.

Surviving in addition to her husband, two brothers Arthur G. Leonard and his wife Kathy of Cumberland, RI and George Leonard and his wife Barbara of Hilo Hawaii, several nieces and nephews and cousins.

Her funeral will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012 at 8AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT CHERRY PLACE 178 Winter St., Fall River followed by a funeral mass at 9AM in Holy Name Church, 709 Hanover St., Fall River. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery, Middletown, RI. Visitation Monday 4PM-8PM.
