Born in Fall River, Patsy was the cherished daughter of the late Patrick C. and Elsie A. (Dyer) Leary. She graduated from B.M.C. Durfee High School in 1956 and later earned an associate degree in arts from Bristol Community College in 1979. Patsy dedicated many years to her work as an accounts payable clerk at Horner Millwork in Somerset, where she was known for her reliability and quiet dedication.
After retiring, Patsy found great purpose in giving back. She generously volunteered her time with the Samaritans and the former Rose Hawthorn Lathrop Home, always offering compassion, kindness, and a listening ear to those in need.
Patsy had a deep love for animals and nature. She especially enjoyed feeding the birds in her neighborhood and took pleasure in walking and hiking whenever she could. Those closest to her will remember her gentle spirit, her thoughtfulness, and the genuine joy she found in simple moments. Above all else, Patsy treasured the time spent with her family and friends, whose lives were made richer by her presence.
She is survived by many dear cousins and friends who will forever hold her memory close and miss her dearly.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 9:30 AM from the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter Street, Fall River followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at Good Shepherd Parish, South Main Street Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
