Paul F. “Duck” Bertoncini, age 66, passed away Friday, September 14, 2018 in Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the loving husband of Anne Marie (Boulay) Bertoncini to whom he was married over 40 years.
Born in Fall River, a son of the late Italo and Ilia (Pieri) Bertoncini, he was a lifelong resident of the city. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York he earned a Bachelor’s degree in teaching. He taught baking at Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School for nearly 20 years, later at BMC Durfee High School and currently at Southeastern Regional Vocational High School..
Mr. B. preferred to drink his Diet Pepsi warm and enjoyed golf, fishing, watching the Red Sox and Patriots games and playing Keno. He was a communicant of St. Bernard’s Church in Assonet.
In addition to his wife he is survived by one son, Daniel Bertoncini and his wife Jessica of Somerset; two daughters, Susan Cavaco of Fall River and Andrea Bertoncini of FL; a sister, Linda Bertoncini and Mary Ann Mello of Fall River; a brother, David Bertoncini of Fall River; three grandchildren, Jacob and Dylan Cavaco and Daniel Bertoncini, Jr. and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Rita Bertoncini.

His Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 9:00AM from the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St., Fall River followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:00AM in St. Bernard’s Church, 30 S. Main St., Assonet. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00PM.
