Born in Cambodia, a son of the late Phat and Thong Uon, he immigrated to United States settling in Fall River in 1979.
While living in Cambodia he was the Head of Odom Bang District.
Surviving in addition to his wife, four sons; Sophann and Sophin Uon both of Fall River, Sopheak and Vouthy Uon both of Cambodia, eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
