Piren Thorng, age 26, of Cranston, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Wednesday, February 2, 2022. Born in Fresno, California, a son of the late Pheap Thorng and Pie Lim, he lived in Fall River for many years before moving to Cranston last year.
A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, Class of 2015, he worked as a dietary aide at the Scandinavian Home and prior to that he worked at Briarcliff Nursing Home.
Piren loved playing the piano, watching movies and hanging out with his family and friends. He was always there for his family and friends who he loved so much.
He is survived by eight siblings, Phath Pheap, Sandy Pheap, Pira Pheap, Pirom Thorng, and Peter Thorng all of Fall River, Pipe Thorng, Phirith Thorng and Paula Thorng all of Cranston. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was the most caring and loving brother and uncle.
His visitation will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022 from 8:15 to 9:15AM from the Waring-Sullivan Home at Chery Place, 178 Winter St., Fall River, followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00AM in the Chapel of Memory and Hope at Swan Point Crematory, 585 Blackstone Blvd., Providence, RI.
