Richard A. St. Amour

Richard A. "Rick" St. Amour, age 72, of Tiverton, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at St. Anne's Hospital. He was the devoted husband of Susan (Hinchcliffe) St. Amour, with whom he shared 49 years of marriage.

Born in Fall River, Rick was the son of the late Albert and Claire (Doucet) St. Amour.

A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, Class of 1971, Rick continued his education at Southeastern Massachusetts University (now UMass Dartmouth), where he earned both his bachelor's degree and his MBA in 1980.

Rick began his career as an electrician before transitioning to pharmacy, where he worked for many years as a pharmacy technician at the former Brooks Pharmacy in Bristol, later Walgreens, until his retirement in 2021.

Rick belonged to IBEW Local 223, the Greater Tiverton Community Chorus, and both the Tiverton and Portsmouth Senior Centers. A gifted singer, he found joy in music and the friendships it fostered. He also enjoyed playing cards, golfing, and traveling the world alongside Susan, creating lasting memories together. Above all else, Rick treasured the time he spent with his family and friends, whose love meant everything to him.

In addition to his beloved wife, Susan, Rick is survived by his son, Timothy St. Amour; his sisters, Suzanne St. Amour and her husband, Dennis Almeida, of Little Compton, and Michele Buchanan of New Hampshire, widow of the late Kevin Buchanan; his sisters-in-law, Donna Valente of Fall River, widow of the late Gerald Valente, and Kathleen Braga and her husband, Nelson, of Fall River; as well as several nieces and nephews.

His visitation will be held Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter Street, Fall River. A service will be held at 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be private.
