Rita E. Creamer

Rita E. (Reis) Creamer, age 99 of Fall River, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017 in St. Anne’s Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late James E. Creamer and the late Daniel J. Harrington.

Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Walter and Eva (Fontaine) Reis, she was a lifelong resident of the city and a graduate of BMC Durfee High School class of 1936. Upon her graduation, Rita was employed as a Telephone Operator in Fall River from 1936 until 1943.

To Mrs. Creamer, family was everything and enjoyed the time with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her three children, Anne Creamer of Fall River, Marilyn Monast and her husband Butch of Fall River and Florida and Frank Creamer and his wife Virginia of Somerset; three grandchildren Chad Monast of Florida, Curt Monast and his wife Chahlynn of E. Providence and Lynn Oliveira and her husband Matt of Somerset; two great-grandchildren Colton Monast and Jack Oliveira; a sister in-law Dirce Reis of Fall River and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Creamer was the sister of the late Francis Reis, Henry Reis and Muriel Ross-Corey.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 9am from the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place 178 Winter St., Fall River, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10am in Holy Name Church 709 Hanover St., Fall River. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 7pm. Burial will be in St. Patrick’s cemetery, Fall River.
