Roger L. Lafleur “RL”, age 72, of Fall River died Sunday, January 26, 2014 at his residence. He was the husband of Irene (Schieri) Lafleur to whom he had been married for 50 years.

Born in Fall River, son of the late Wilfred and Bernadette (Roy) Lafleur, he was a lifelong resident and educated in local schools. He was employed for many years as a meat cutter at Auclair’s Market, Robeson Market, Valley’s Steak House, and worked part- time at Sam’s Club in Seekonk.

He was a communicant of Holy Rosary Parish and a member of B.P.O.E. Lodge 118 of Fall River.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons; Roger A. Lafleur and David V. Lafleur both of Fall River, two daughters; Wendy Ann Stauffer of Bridgewater and Lisa Lafleur Souza of Tiverton, RI, one sister; Pauline Walsh of Westport, MA, five grandchildren; Allysia A. Lafleur, Jacob and Jessica Souza, David V. Lafleur Jr. and Kayla A. Lafleur and several nieces and nephews. He was also brother of the late Wilfred L. Lafleur Jr. and Donald Lafleur.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his graveside service on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 11AM in St. Patrick Cemetery, 2233 Robeson Stret, Fall River. In lieu of flowers kindly make donations in his honor to Southcoast VNA, 200 Mill Road, Fairhaven, MA 02719. Arrangements are in the care of the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT CHERRY PLACE, 178 Winter St., Fall River, MA.

It's a beautiful day today Pep.. Bru walked in the other day asking where you were. Then realized what his lil instincts had said. He told Nonna you were happy. Dave visits you daily. Things certainly aren't "normal" but I like to picture you with that guilty grin smiling down on everyone. Dave and I have smiled a few times, per your antics ;) Keep em coming.

You held my hand,gave me piggy back rides to bed, tought me how to swim, and saved me when I was drowning in that same pool, you helpped me learn to ride my purple bike.
