

Born in Clairmont, New Hampshire, a son of the late Arsene D. and Antoinette (Hanley) Thibodeau, he spent his youth in Fall River before moving to Tiverton in 1968. A graduate of the former Monsignor Prevost High School, class of 1947 and the Swain School of Design, 1958, he served in the United States Marine Corps as a Staff Sgt. during the Korean War.
A Graphic Illustrator and fine artist, Mr. Thibodeau worked at the Naval Underwater Systems Center for over 30 years, retiring in 1985 and then for Westinghouse. A communicant of St. Madeleine’s Church, he was a member of their Men’s Club.
An avid outdoorsman and hunter, he was a member of the Tiverton Rod and Gun Club - shooting both rifle and pistol - and was a woodworker and wine maker.
Surviving in addition to his wife, two sons: Stephen R. Thibodeau and his wife Linda and Mark Thibodeau all of Tiverton, two daughters: Karen Robertson and her husband Jamie of Bedford, NH, Brenda Medeiros and her husband Kevin of Fall River, one sister: Pauline Kiley and husband Robert of Danielson, CT, one brother: Normand Thibodeau of Swansea, grandchildren: Michael Concepcion, Kerri and Korie Medeiros and one great granddaughter: Haley Bouchard and several nieces and nephews. He was grandfather of the late Crystal Ringuette.
His Funeral will be held Monday, April 28, 2014 at 8:30AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at CHERRY PLACE, 178 Winter Street, Fall River followed by a funeral mass at 10am in St. Madeleine’s Church, 35 Lake Road, Tiverton. Visiting hours Sunday 4-7PM. Burial in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
