

Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Charles and Philomena (Parent) Levesque, she spent her youth in Fall River, lived in Tiverton for 45 years, returning to Fall River in 2004. She was the last surviving child of 16 siblings. “Mem” was the heart and soul of the family and will be greatly missed by all. A homemaker, she was a communicant of St Christopher’s and Holy Ghost Church while in Tiverton, and Sacred Heart in Fall River.
Surviving: 3 daughters: Pauline I. Lima of Brookfield, CT, Doris M. Giunta of Fall River and Diane Salpietro of Assonet, 17 grandchildren including the late Christine Halpen Auger, 24 great grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was also mother of the late Rosanna Welch, Edward Norman Halpen and Edward Raymond Halpen.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 8:30 AM at the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT CHERRY PLACE followed by a funeral mass at 9:30 AM in Sacred Heart Church, Linden St. Fall River. Visiting Hours Friday from 4-8 p.m. Contributions in her honor may be made to Visiting Nurse Assn. of Southeastern MA, Hospice and Palliative Care, Admin Office, 502 Bedford St. Fall River, MA 02720. Burial in Notre Dame Cemetery Chapel.
