

Stephen J. Jackson, age 86, of Tiverton, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Anne M. (O’Connor) Jackson to whom he has been married for the past 62 years.
Born in Providence, Rhode Island, during the Hurricane of 38, he was the son of the late Stephen J. Jackson, Sr., and Anna (Farrell) Jackson.
A graduate of La Salle Academy, Class of 1956, he went on to graduate from Brown University (60) with a Bachelors in Political Science. He met the love of his life Anne Mary on his bakery route in Narragansett (56) and they married (62). He proudly served in the US Navy aboard the USS Blandy and USS The Sullivans where he was Awarded the Battle Efficiency E. He retired from the Naval Reserve serving 18 years and being promoted to Lt. Commander.
Steve worked for 35 years as the IT Director at Frionor Norwegian Frozen Fish in New Bedford, with his unwavering friend Patti retiring in 2013.
A dedicated public servant, Steve was actively involved in his community. Holding a keen interest in politics, he served as a member of the School Committee in Tiverton and on the Board of Selectman in Clinton, CT. He was an avid skier, especially enjoying his time on the slopes of New Hampshire in a house he rehabbed with the help of many of our friends.
“Big Steve” as he was affectionately called, loved construction projects. Building decks for friends and fixing something with his best friend Ray filled a lot of his spare time. Steve was famous for lost tools and would be heard calling out “Hey Anne Mary, do you got a hammer?" after a long day of hammering nails he would exclaim “I’m tired, but it's a good tired“.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Stephen J. Jackson, III and his wife Dianne of Merrimack, NH, Kathleen Mouligne and her husband JP of Tiverton, and Daniel Jackson and his wife Brandi Adjmi of Atlanta, GA as well as eight grandchildren, Liam, Maeve, Brandy, Antoinne, Zoe, Daniel, Joshua and Alexandra.
His Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at 10:00 AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St., Fall River. Relatives and friends invited. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Contributions in his honor may be made to
