Teddy F. Tokarz, age 69, of Berkley, passed away Monday, February 3, 2014 in Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Jeanne M. (Turner) Tokarz to whom he has been married for the past 47 years.
Born in Fall River, a son of Teddy Tokarz of Boynton Beach, Florida and the late Marjorie (Hall) Tokarz, he has been a resident of Berkley for over 30 years.
He was a graduate of Marianapolis Prepatory School and played for their football team. He also attended Merrimack College and was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He worked as a patrolman for the Fall River Police Department and was a Constable and Deputy Sheriff for the Bristol County Sheriff’s Department. He then worked as a salesman, a machinist, and a research and developer in the semi-conductor industry for many years.
Teddy enjoyed boating and most of all spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Tokarz-Webster and her husband Cliff Webster of Orlando, FL, his sister; Mary Jane Harrington of Little Compton, RI, his granddaughters, Marissa and Amy Maciel, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Contributions in his honor may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. His burial of cremains will take place in Bourne National Cemetery at a later date and time.
