Born in Brooklyn, NY the son of the late Gus R. and Lillian (Lomas) Green he was a longtime resident of Fall River.
A proud veteran of the United States Army and National Guard he served during the Korean Conflict. A Director of Maintenance and Security, he worked for the Bridgewater State Prison, retiring in 1993. Tom was also a Bristol County Constable for many years. A life member of the VFW, he enjoyed fishing, traveling cross-country, and celebrating holidays, especially St. Patrick’s Day. He delighted in a good meal; his favorites were shrimp, ricotta pie and a cold beer. A dog lover, he had a passion for eagles and a classic 1950 Mercury. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and as a good friend to many. He was a man with a big heart who treasured his family.
In addition to his wife, his children, Lori Grillo of Swansea, Michael Sirois of Alton, NH, Tami Genereux of Wisconsin, Thomas P. Cullen of Tiverton, James Cullen of Tiverton, Michael Cullen of North Attleboro and John Cullen of Assonet; one brother, Larry Green; twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late, John and Joan Green and James, Charles and Veronica Cullen.
His visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St., Fall River Relatives and friends are invited. At the family’s request, the funeral and burial will be private.
