Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, on September 8, 1958, Tom was the beloved son of the late Hugh and Elaine Reilly. He graduated from Bishop Connolly High School in 1976, where he was a proud member of the hockey team. He continued his hockey career at Roger Williams College, as captain, while earning a degree in Business in 1980.
After college, Tom joined his father in the family business, Mackenzie & Winslow, where he spent his entire career. Outside of work, Tom enjoyed golfing and spending time at the Boys & Girls Club of Fall River playing handball, a pastime that brought him friendship, competition, and countless cherished memories.
Tom will be remembered for his quick wit, infectious sense of humor, and genuine kindness. He had a remarkable ability to make people laugh, feel welcome, and know they mattered. A loyal friend and caring presence in the lives of so many, Tom leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and generosity that will not be forgotten.
Above all else, Tom’s greatest joy was his family.
Tom is survived by his son, Matthew Reilly, and his wife, Victoria; his daughter, Andrea Reilly, and her fiancé, Daniel; his brothers, Hugh Reilly and his wife, Phyllis; Andrew Reilly and his wife, Christine; Jeff Reilly and his partner, Nancy; and Joseph Reilly and his wife, Melanie; his sister, Ellen Bjornson; and his former wife, Debra Campo Reilly, with whom he shared an enduring friendship. He also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss him deeply.
Tom’s family finds comfort in the many memories they shared with him and in knowing that his warmth, humor, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. They are especially grateful for the many friendships Tom formed throughout his life. It seemed there was never a family outing, trip, or errand where Tom didn’t run into someone he knew. Those friendships brought him great joy and are a testament to the impact he had on so many lives.
The family warmly invites those attending the wake or memorial service to bring a written memory, story, or reflection about Tom. Whether you knew him for decades or only a short time, your memories will be treasured by his family and will help preserve the laughter, friendship, and kindness that made him so special.
