Warren A. “Buster” Rigby, age 92 of New Bedford, formerly of Fall River, passed away Friday, October 31, 2014 in the Hallmark Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility in New Bedford. He was the husband of the late Ann. F. Lavigne.
Born in Fall River, the son of the late William and Albina (LeBlanc) Rigby, he was educated in local schools and was a Machine Operator for the former Firestone Rubber in Fall River. Mr. Rigby was also a communicant of Holy Name Church and served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II.
He is survived by his two sons: William D. Rigby and his wife Marilyn of Westport & Fort Myers, FL and Warren A. Rigby Jr. and his wife Mary Beth of Fall River; three grandchildren Lisa Rigby, Jennifer Lima and William B. Rigby; four great-granddaughters Sophia and Mae Lima and Sydney and Rowan Rigby; a brother William Rigby Jr.; two sisters Veronica Anger and Barbara Connell and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Rigby was also the brother of the late Florence Francoeur, Norman Rigby, Ethel Porter, Evelyn Wilbur and Doris Glenday.
