William Henry Krueger Jr., known to just about everyone as Bill the Painter, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. He was born on September 20, 1960, in Jacksonville, North Carolina. Bill lived a life full of humor, hard work, and memorable moments, leaving countless people with stories they’ll never forget.
Bill’s life was shaped by the people he loved most. He was the beloved husband of the late Kathleen (Bouchard) Krueger, and the son of the late William H. Krueger and Judith (Hilliker) Krueger-Johnson.
A painter for more than 40 years, Bill built his company, Busy Brush, from the ground up and took genuine pride in his work. He valued not only the quality of each job but also the many people he trained, employed, and mentored throughout his career. Driven by a competitive spirit and known for his legendary sense of humor, he made even the longest workdays feel lighter for everyone around him.
Beyond his profession, Bill was an avid skier, who loved the thrill of the slopes and living on the edge. He was also a rockstar, well known for his enthusiasm for karaoke, where he brought the same fearless energy—and plenty of laughs—to every performance. A natural storyteller and a funny guy through and through, Bill had a gift for making people feel welcome, valued, and entertained.
Bill is survived by his beloved daughters, Kimberly and Nina Krueger, who were the greatest joys of his life; his adored grandson, Anderson Rodrigues; his loving sister, Becki-Lyn Sharpe, and her late husband, Robert; and his nieces, Kristi and Alicia Sharpe. He also leaves behind many treasured friends, in-laws, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his older brother, Howard Christian Krueger.
His visitation will be held Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 4:00 Pm to 7:00 PM at the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter Street, Fall River, MA. 02720.
Bill will be remembered for his laughter, his talent, and the adventures that filled his life. His presence will be deeply missed, but the stories he leaves behind—on ladders, on ski slopes, behind microphones, and in the hearts of those who knew him—will live on forevermore.
