Born in Fall River, a son of the late Clyde A. and Alice M. (Boulay) Wordell, he was a life-long resident of the city.
William was an avid outdoorsman, an animal lover and he especially loved the numerous dogs he had over the years. He was a member of Green Futures and the Friends of the Freetown State Forest.
He is survived two nieces, Jennifer Dias-Rezendes and her husband Ronald and Kristin Martins and her husband Terry; two great nieces, Sierra and Sophia Rezendes; three great nephews, Nicholas Rezendes, Brennan R. and Bennett T. Martins; a cousin, Penny Phillips and several other cousins. He was the brother of the late Mary Ann Wordell.
His Funeral will be held on Saturday, July 21 2018 at 8:00 a.m. from the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter Street, Fall River, followed by his Funeral Mass at 9:00 AM in Holy Name Church, 709 Hanover St., Fall River. Visiting hours will be on Friday 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
