Adelaida B. Sanchez

April 5, 1936 - January 3, 2015

Adelaida's soul entered heaven on January 3, 2015. Family always came first for her and she made many sacrifices for them. A devout Catholic, she was the wife of Carlos C. Sanchez, Jr. for 52 years and was a loving mother who was very proud of her two sons. Del was a graduate of St. Scholastica's College (HS) in Manila, Philippines in 1954 and St. Theresa's College, Manila in 1958. In 1978 she helped relocate the family to Northern Virginia. Del worked in the law department of Washington Gas Light Company for 25 years. She loved food and desserts, and enjoyed traveling to France, England, Hong Kong, China and the Philippines.

She is survived by her husband Carlos C. Sanchez, Jr., son Carlos III (Charlie) and daughter in law Cynthia, son Ronald, her brother and sister in law Ed and Joy Buhay, and grandchildren Alyssa and Meagan.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 10 at Our Lady of Good Counsel (8601 Wolftrap Rd, Vienna VA) at 11:30 am.

In lieu of flowers a donation will be made in her name to St. Scholastica's College. Contact family members to make a donation.
