Agustin Perez of Fairfax, Virginia passed away on July 26, 2019. Beloved husband of Gladis Perez. Loving father of Magalys Perez, Gladys Perez and her husband, Chris Adamson. Cherished grandfather of Justin Perez Adamson, Carter Perez Adamson, Sofie Green-Perez, and Eli Green-Perez. Agustin is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, his sister-in-law Dulce Naranjo, and many wonderful, supportive close friends that enriched his life.
Born in Cuba in 1932, Agustin left the island in 1968 with his wife and two daughters in search of a better life in the United States. Together with his wife, he built a warm and loving home for his family, as well as a new extended “family” of close friends in the United States. Everyone who knew him cherished his jovial spirit, his sense of family, and his silly sense of humor.
A small gathering for family will be held on Monday, July 29 with a burial to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Children’s Hospital National Medical Center, where Agustin worked for 33 years as an accountant.
