

The memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025,1 pm at the Fairfax United Methodist Church, 10300 Stratford Avenue, Fairfax, Virginia 22030. Reverend David Bonney will be officiating.
Alan was born in Providence, Rhode Island on August 29, 1948. He graduated from Scituate High School in 1966. During his high school years, he co-founded and was lead singer of the band, Mystic Five. The band won four out of five Battle of the Bands throughout the state. He and the band were featured in an article, RIP it Up R.I , a publication featuring Rhode Island garage rock & roll bands from the 1960s.
Alan joined the Navy in 1967 and served through 1971. His commitment to the Navy continued and he dedicated his career in civil service working for the Navy as a computer specialist for 30 years, retiring January, 2002. Alan was married to Rita on August 1, 1987 and made their home in Burke, VA, raising their son, Philippe. Alan was a loving and committed father who dedicated his time coaching sports and served as a leader in the Boy Scouts.
Alan enjoyed golfing, fine restaurants, and developing relationships with people in his community.
