Alexandros Andreou

Passed on May 3, 2014, in Merrifield, VA, while visiting his wife’s gravesite. Devoted husband of the late Maria Andreou, and loving father to Kostas and daughter-in-law Maria Andreou, Andri and son-in-law Chris Orphanides and Jacob Andreou; grandfather to Alexandros Peros and Mariellena Orphanides. He is survived by his siblings Lazaros Andreou, Damianos Andreou, Constantis Christofi, Maria Georges and Chris Christofi. Alex, originally from Limassol, Cyprus, came to the United States in 1969. He held many jobs before owning his own business and later becoming a real estate agent. For the last 13 years he worked for FCPS Food Services. Steward of St. Katherine’s Greek Orthodox Church for over 30 yrs, and long standing resident of Falls Church, VA. The family will receive friends at Advent Funeral Service, 7211 Lee Hwy, Falls Church, VA on Thursday, May 8 from 6 to 9 pm. Services will be held on Friday, May 9, at 11:00 am at St. Katherine’s Greek Orthodox Church, 3149 Glen Carlyn Rd., Falls Church, VA. Interment to follow at 12:45 pm at National Memorial Park, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Katherine’s Greek Orthodox Church.
