

Andrew gained his wings on May 28th, 2022. Andrew was drafted in the U. S. Army in 1965 and quickly promoted to the rank of Technical Sergeant within his first 21 months of service. Andrew was married to the love of his life Jacquelyn Horton for 17 years until he was widowed in 1984. From this union their only daughter—and Andrew’s second love—Andrea was born. He graduated from Rentiesville Highschool and went on to attend and graduate from Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton College where he obtained a degree in drafting.
In Andrew’s youth and young adulthood, he was an avid cabinet builder and leather worker. Some of his favorite hobbies were sports, gardening, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends. Andrew held a variety of jobs including farmer, bus driver, butcher, draftsman, cabinet builder, tire sealer, and security officer. Following retirement from Bridgestone Firestone he enjoyed volunteering for Chesapeake Energy and serving in various capacities at Mclean Bible Church.
Andrew was born and raised in Pierce Oklahoma on September 21st, 1941, to Andrew and Leona Horton. He was the 7th of 14 children and he loved to talk about his big family. He was baptized and attended Mount Olive Star Church through his youth. He was proceeded in death by his wife Jaquelyn Horton, his parents, Andrew Sr. and Leona Horton and his siblings Sam Horton, Herbert, Horton, Fred Douglas Horton, Charles Jimmy Lee Horton, O.C.Horton, James Horton, Don Horton, Chucky Horton, Leva Dawson, and Marine Royal.
Andrew Horton, Jr., leaves behind his daughter, Andrea Hall and son in law Michael Hall. The grandchildren who adored him—Cameron Hall and Morgan Hall. His siblings Shirley Jones, Dave & Hilda Horton, and Alice Horton -Warrior and Bernard Jackson. And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A graveside service for Andrew will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, June 10, 2022 at Quantico National Cemetery, 18424 Joplin Rd, Triangle, VA 22172.
