Born on July 10, 1929 in Lucknow, India to Nasir Mohammad and Begum Zohra, Mrs. Farooqi was the oldest of six children. Married for almost seventy years to Mr. Habib Farooqi, together they raised four children, Iqbal, Tariq, Farida and Shaheen, and one grandchild, Rubina.
Mrs. Farooqi was an exceptionally caring, gentle and God fearing soul who was endowed with great personal charm and beauty. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, reading, and tutoring. She and Mr. Farooqi were often found sharing a bag of chips, while driving and listening to music.
Mrs. Farooqi is survived by her husband, four siblings, four children, six grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
