Barbara Evelyn (Wagner) Pope, 91, of McLean, VA passed away peacefully the night of June 11, 2026. She was born in Oregon, and raised in both Oregon and Washington states, graduating from Lewis & Clark University before moving to Washington, DC and making a life for herself in Northern Virginia. She worked for the government at two different times in her life between being a mother to her three sons and wife to her husband Cadesman.
A lover of art and music, Barbara adorned her home with paintings and recreations from Renoir, her favorite artist, and dabbled in sketching and painting when her children were younger. She introduced her children to Chet Atkins, Arlo Guthrie, classical music, and the piano. She also was an avid reader and faithful member of her book club, a believer in Jesus Christ and church member, as well as a caring neighbor.
Barbara was passionate about her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and was generous to a fault. Her family will always cherish the trips to Skyline Drive and the Outer Banks as a lasting and beautiful legacy to the person she was and wanted to share with them. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Jewel Wagner and her brother Robert Wagner as well as her husband Cadesman Pope, Jr. and first grandson Ryan Patrick Pope. She is survived by her three sons: Cadesman Pope III, Jeffrey Brian Pope, and Randall Patrick Pope and his wife, Robin, along with six grandchildren: Ethan(Jessica), Michelle(Ryan), Abby, Emma(Isaac), Matthew, and Grace, as well as six great grand children: Elah, Landyn, Ellie, Luke, Thea, and Ezra.
