Barbara Ann Stone

Of Leesburg, VA passed away peacefully on Monday, November 24, 2014. She was born June 5, 1942 in Boston, MA and grew up in Lynn, MA. After obtaining her Associate’s Degree from Gibbs College she moved to the Washington, DC area in the mid-1960s. She had a long and storied career in the Real Estate business in Northern Virginia for over 35 years as a broker and then a manager for the last 14 years with Weichert Realtors. She loved going to Aruba and Maine with her family and was a proud Irish American.

She is survived by her three children David Stone of New York, NY, Trisha Herrera of South Riding, VA, Brian Stone of Ashburn, VA, and additional family members Kathy and Dick Pratt, Jean and Jack Joyce, and Mary Ann Murphy. Her grandchildren were the lights of her life; Ashley, Lauren and Colin Stone, Alexander and Christopher Herrera and Liam Stone. She is predeceased by her parents, William & Margaret Murphy and her brother Billy Murphy.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.

She touched many lives and will always be in our hearts with us. “And until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand.”
