

On Saturday, March 12, 2011 Beatrice M. Roylance, formerly a long time resident of Arlington, VA, passed away while living in Newport News, VA. Mrs. Roylance spent the past three years at the Warwick Forest Assisted Living and Nursing Home facility in Newport News.
She was born in New York City on April 29, 1915, was raised and educated in Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey. She married Herbert Roylance, also of Hasbrouck Heights in 1939.
During World War II, Mrs. Roylance and her husband relocated to Virginia and settled in Arlington in 1945. During her long tenure as an Arlingtonian, she raised two sons, served as administrative assistant to the management firm of McLean Properties in Clarendon, and spent many years after her retirement as a volunteer with Hope, a Catholic charitable organization located in Falls Church.
Mrs. Roylance was predeceased by her mother, Betty in 1979 and her husband in 1983. She is survived by her son Robert and his wife Debbie of Newport News; son David and his wife Nancy of Reston, VA; her grandchildren Robin, Spencer, Matthew, Carrie, and Leslie and her great-grandchildren Andie, Molly, Wyatt, Ben and Ivey.
Graveside services will be held at National Memorial Park Cemetery in Falls Church, VA on Tuesday, March 22 with friends and family gathering at the cemetery at 12:30 p.m. followed by a Memorial Mass in the Chapel of St. Ann Catholic Church, 5300 N. 10th St. Arlington, VA 22205 at 2pm. The family welcomes everyone to a reception in the church hall after the mass.
