On Thursday, August 8, 2013, Benton A. Buskirk's full and vibrant life came to an end. He was predeceased by his first wife, Dorothy Buskirk, and his second wife, Linda Powell Buskirk. He is survived by his loving companion Rollande LaPensee "Rose," his two daughters: Cindy Stewart-Daversa (Nick) and Brenda Harrison (Steve); his 7 grandchildren: Alex, Brittany, Katrina, Hayley, Rachel, Justin, and Steven; a brother, a cousin, and countless others. He will be remembered for his honorable service in the U.S. Navy, his 32 years at the Washington Post, fun times at Elks Lodge #2188, and his silly jokes. The funeral will be at Everly Funeral Home on Saturday, August 17, at 11:00 a.m. in Fairfax, VA. Inurnment to follow at National Memorial Park, Falls Church, VA at 12:30 p.m.
