Bernard W. “Bernie” Weiner passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 6, 2015. Bernie was a Army veteran of World War II. He served in combat in the Pacific Theater in the Philippines, New Guinea, and Okinawa.
He is survived by his beloved wife Ingrid, son Jay and wife Miriam, daughter Sherri and her husband Johnny, as well as six grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2015, 11:00 a.m., at National Funeral Home, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA, followed by burial with military honors at King David Memorial Gardens.
Following the burial, family and friends are invited to the Weiner residence, 5225 Pooks Hill Rd., Apt 1410 North, Bethesda, MD, for a light lunch. Shiva will be held afterwards at the residence from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
