Betty M. Dakes

On Wednesday, May 11,2016, Betty M. Dakes went to her eternal home to be with the Lord. She entered the gates of Heaven leaving her loving and devoted husband of 60 years, Steve, sons, Dr. George Dakes and wife Laura, Michael S. Dakes and wife Theano, and daughter, Stephanie Dolan and husband Timothy. She is also survived by her five beloved grand-children, Amy, Stelios, Maria, Brittany and Stephen, brother Nick Mantzouris and wife Angie, brother-in-law, Michael G. Dakes and his wife, Diane.

Betty blessed those who knew her as she touched their lives with love, kindness, and compassion, She was a loving and helpful wife, mother and grandmother. She was also a founder and active member of St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church for many years.

Betty will live on in the hearts of many people who knew her.

Relatives and friends may call at National Memorial Park, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA on Sunday, May 15 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with service in the Chapel at 7:00p.m.

The family will have a private burial service.
