LCDR, USN (Ret.)

On Tuesday, November 4, 2014, beloved husband of Lela Louise for 63 years; devoted father of son Larry (Beth), grandfather of Kristy Titus (Danny) and Jacob; great-grandfather of Lilly and Ivy Titus. Survived by brothers, Joe (Peggy) and Don (Shirley); sister, Theresa Bucci (Joe) and numerous nephews, nieces and other family.

Carl served this country as a naval officer for twenty two years and then as a civil servant for the Naval Department for another twenty four years. He also served the Arlington community for over forty years. His passion later in life was performing with the Arlingtones (barbershop quartet singers) at different venues throughout the Northern Virginia community.

Friends may visit family at Murphy's Funeral Home, 1102 W. Broad St., Falls Church, VA 22046, 5 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, November 12. A Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 13 at St. Thomas More Cathedral, 3901 Cathedral Ln., Arlington, VA 22203.

Funeral Mass will take place at Old Post Chapel on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 8:45 am. Interment, with full military honors, will follow at Arlington National Cemetery.

His heart was matched only by his smile and both will be greatly missed by many.
