Of Sterling, VA passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Capital Caring-Adler Center in Aldie, VA., on Friday, March 3, 2017. Beloved daughter of Ellen and the late Robert E. Lowry; sister of Eileen and Stephen Lowry and Melanie Martinez (Alejandro D.); dear aunt of McKenna and Alexandra. She is preceded in her death by her brother Robert, Jr. She leaves behind numerous loving aunts, uncles, and cousins and will be sorely missed by many local feline service organizations, for which she actively volunteered. Friends may call at Murphy Falls Church Funeral Home, 1102 W. Broad Street (Rt. 7), from 2-4pm and 6-8pm on Sunday, March 12. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Our Lady of Good Counsel, 8601 Wolftrap Road, Vienna, VA 22182, at 10:00 am on Monday, March 13. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Historic Cemetery, Fairfax, VA. Memorial Contributions may be made in her name to Cats Crossing Sanctuary, PO Box 2030, Purcellville, VA 20134.
