Celix R. Alvarado

Born on April 21st 1953, in Santa Clara, El Salvador. Celix “Rube” lived a life marked by the rich heritage of her birthplace and the profound experiences of her later years in the United States since 1979. She was a proud US Citizen and made the American Dream possible for her daughters. Celix “Rube” lived a life filled with love for her 3 daughters-Xiomara, Fatima and Jenny, 6 grandchildren-Anthony, Joseph, Victoria, Andrew, Isabelle and Julian, her sisters and brothers, rest of her beloved family and friends. She was a devout Catholic and well known in her community as a devoted and compassionate woman who helped those in need. Her nurturing spirit, unwavering support and boundless love will forever live on in the hearts of those near and dear to her. She loved attending her prayer groups, talking to friends, coloring, attending to her plants, and spending quality time with her family.

A service to honor her life will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church on May 19th, 2026. Celix’s passing will be mourned deeply by everyone who knew and cherished her. Celix’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of her beloved family and friends and all of those who were privileged to have known her. Celix’s memory will be forever cherished by her family and friends. Her legacy as a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt, cousin and friend will continue to inspire us all. In our hearts, she lives on, and her family will forever honor the legacy of a remarkable, strong and independent woman.

Celix Rubelia “Rube” Alvarado, de 73 años, falleció el 8 de mayo de 2026 en Fairfax, Virginia, rodeada de su amada familia y amigos. Nació el 21 de abril de 1953 en Santa Clara, El Salvador. Celix “Rube” vivió una vida marcada por la rica herencia de su lugar de nacimiento y por las profundas experiencias de sus años posteriores en los Estados Unidos, donde residió desde 1979. Fue una orgullosa ciudadana estadounidense e hizo posible el sueño Americano para sus hijas. Celix “Rube” vivió una vida colmada de amor por sus tres hijas —Xiomara, Fátima y Jenny—, sus seis nietos —Anthony, Joseph, Victoria, Andrew, Isabelle y Julian—, sus hermanos y hermanas, y el resto de su amada familia y amigos. Fue una católica devota y muy conocida en su comunidad como una mujer entregada y compasiva que ayudaba a quienes lo necesitaban. Su espíritu protector, su apoyo inquebrantable y su amor ilimitado vivirán para siempre en los corazones de sus seres más cercanos y queridos. Le encantaba asistir a sus grupos de oración, conversar con sus amigos y familia, colorear, cuidar de sus plantas y pasar tiempo de calidad con su familia.

Se celebrará un servicio para honrar su vida en la Iglesia Católica de San Antonio de Padua el 19 de mayo de 2026. La partida de Celix será profundamente lamentada por todos aquellos que la conocieron y la apreciaron. El recuerdo de Celix permanecerá para siempre en los corazones de su amada familia y amigos, así como en el de todos aquellos que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerla. La memoria de Celix será atesorada eternamente por su familia y amigos. Su legado como madre, abuela, hermana, hija, tía, prima y amiga devota continuará inspirándonos a todos. Ella sigue viviendo en nuestros corazones, y su familia honrará por siempre el legado de una mujer extraordinaria, fuerte e independiente.
