Charles F Carney

Charles Frederick Carney, 76, of McLean, Virginia passed away June 27, 2016. Charles was born August 25, 1939 and grew up in Mineral Wells, West Virginia. He married Judith Lynn Tuell, his wife of 59 years. Together they raised three daughters. Charles retired as an accountant from the Federal Bureau of Prisons in 2009.

Charles is survived by his wife, Judith (Judy); by his children: Kimberly Morales (Kim), Susan Mundrick (Sue) and Charlotte Matthews (Char); by his grandchildren: Natalie Driscoll, Daniel Morales, Derek Mundrick, Tyler Mundrick, Bryan Matthews and Marissa Matthews; and by his great-grandchildren: Olivia Driscoll, Cecilia Driscoll and DeClan Driscoll.

There will be a visitation on Thursday, June 30, 2016 from 5 to 8 p.m. at National Funeral Home, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042. Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 1, 2016 at 10 a.m. at National Funeral Home, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association; PO Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.

Following the service there will be a time of fellowship at Charles Wesley Methodist Church; 6817 Dean Drive, McLean, VA 22101.
