He was born in Woodbridge, Virginia until he moved to Stuart, Florida where he spent the rest of his life.
Charles was preceded in death by his son, Charles “Chuck” Edward Garber Jr.
He is survived by sister, Phyllis Garber Hall, his daughter, Vicki Charlene Little (Garber), aged 62, Daniel Martin Garber, aged 60, his grandchildren, Kelly Marie Sanders (Garber) and David Charles Garber, great-granddaughter, Avery Elizabeth Sanders, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
