

Charles Dennis Kazuba, 67, of Murrells Inlet, SC passed away on Wednesday, March 28. Born December 2, 1944 in Paterson, NJ, he was the only child of Charles Karl and Teresa Kazuba, who predeceased him. Graduating from Paterson Central High School in 1962, he declined an offer from the New York Yankees to attend Montclair State University, receiving his BA in 1966. While working as an athletic director at the Dundalk (MD) YMCA he was drafted into the US Army in April, 1967. He was selected to serve in the elite 3rd US Infantry (The Old Guard). After, he joined Fairfax County Public Schools and was a respected P.E. instructor by his students and peers for 26 years. While teaching, he received his MS in Education Supervision and Administration. He began his own company, KAZ-1 disc jockey service. Recently, he returned to his beloved baseball and was a tournament official at the Cal Ripken Experience in Myrtle Beach, SC. Dennis is survived by his wife Diane Kazuba of Chantilly, VA, four daughters, Julie West, Sabrina Ruck, Nicole Kazuba, and Annie Kazuba, as well as his grandchildren, Kayla and Tommy West, Brody Ruck, and a soon to be born child. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Dennis’ life at National Memorial Park in Falls Church, VA on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at 1:30.
